VOICE Default Storage Problem

I am using YAMGNS Soundbank #2 from Dan.
I am also using some individual soundfonts.
There is a problem in the storage of sounds in VOICE.
If I want an electric guitar I should be able to go to EL.GUITAR VOICE selection to findthe one I want.
The problem is that all the electric guitars are not there!
I attached a pic showing in EFFECT SFX, my page 28/39. your might be different, to show what I mean.
On this page alone, it has Electric pianos, strings, horns, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and choir sounds.
There should be a way, to show each instrument in the proper category, "VOICE", without having to go to multiple VOICE categories to select an instrument to try or compare with another instrument.
Each instrument is normally found in the correct patch, example acoustic guitar is patch numbers 25 and 26, BASS is 33-40 etc.
If you have more than the number of patches for that bank you can add another bank.
In the case of YAMGNS, this is not so.
Is it possible to fix this, by putting the instruments in enough banks, so that we can just look at the proper VOICE category to find what we want.
By the way, all the sounds are great!!! LOL

Is it possible to get a list from YAMGNS Soundbank #2 soundfonts, with a name of the voice and where we can find each of them in the VOICE categories?

Gerard

I did not hear from anybody coming up with a solution so I found a way to do it.
I counted over 225 sounds in EFFECT SFX voice group that should be in their respective sound group.
To do this, I am taking each sound, and click SAVE, then save it in the proper voice group.
When you save a sound, it shows up at the top of the voice group you selected.
Once this is done, if you want an electric guitar for example, you just go to EL. GUITAR and "ALL", I repeat, "ALL" electric guitars are in only one voice group.
Doing this will take a considerable amount of time, but I think it is worth it.
If you are looking for a particular nuance in a sound, having all respective sounds in one group, it is then much easier to select one that you like.

I bought the SOUNDBANK#2 (YAMGNS) on 7/30/2024 and received and email from Dan several times about some things.
And the email was as it always is from him signing Regards, Dan
Are you saying he is no longer responsible for Varranger?

Gerard

I was able to put over 50 Electric guitars in the Electric guitar voice group that were scattered in other groups.

Dan

Hello Gerard,

Yes the default grouping is based on the midi program change of the instrument, and the only way to create your own grouping, is to save sound.
But maybe it's better for you to only add the sound you really like and want to use.

Regards,

Dan
