Dene,
Im going to try using my pdf manuscrips on same laptop screen as vArranger with varranger oen pdf display tomorrow at a gig for the first time without paper sheets.
what benefits do you justify needing the extra LCD screen dedicated to pdf?

Jon,
VArranger does not read PDF files so I use my IPad to display them.  It works very well and I have thousands
Of them on my IPad.  Also, I want to keep the vArranger clear so I can see all of it clearly.

Hi Lylo,
The cart is made be Rock N Roller.  It expands to twice the length as shown in the picture.  Best money I have spent.  Cost $135.00 USD.  I can get ALL my equipment on it for gigs.

Dan

Thank you for sharing those pictures !

Did you assign some of the buttons of the midi keyboard to control vArranger yet?

Deane

Hi Dan,
Yes, I have my Keyboard setup to control
1. Start. Stop
2. Variations 1, 2, 3, 4. with Link enabled
3.  Endings 3 and 4
4.  Variation Up and Down
5.  Master Volume
6.  Style Volume
7.  Right Lead Voice Volume

I have the split point set in the startup config file.

This is working really well for me.   I would link to have a button setup to select the next song from my
Gig set.   I now have over 200 songs setup with styles in my gig set.  That leaves me with about 1800 still to be
Setup for performance.

vArranger is a really great product and is a lot of fun to play.  Do you have a timeline for adding thr Roland Styles?

Deane I think I already told you that you can use a free pdf to jpg converter called Boxoft?
I used it to batch convert and had my jpg manuscript displayed with Varranger at tonights gig.
So only one laptop/screen/monitor for everything now.

Jon, Deane really want to use it's iPad with his collection of scores in pdf format. It is working well for him. I maybe suggest to put the iPad such a place, so it will let you read the vArranger's screen.

I have no timeline for Roland styles, but for sure in 2012.

You can assign a button to go to the NEXT SONG. So you can create a list of song in a folder, and then just have to do PLAY, NEXT, NEXT, NEXT...

Deane

Dan,
I'll find the NEXT SONG button in the controller section and make the change.  I just about have vArranger and my controller setup so that I never have to touch vArranger after I get started playing - really neat.

Deane

Dan,
I created a folder named "Score" and placed it in the Styles folder, put a JPG formatted leadsheet in it, made sure the names are exactly the same - but the leadsheet does not display when I select the song.

I can go to the "Score" folder within vArranger, click on the file and it displays.
How do I get it to display when I select the song from my gig set?
Deane

Dan

The SCORE folder should be exactly close to the style

Deane

Dan,
I am not sure what you mean by "Exactly Close" to the style.
I had this working at one time but don't remember how I did it.

Deane

Dan

It means, you can see on the same folder : the style name + a folder called SCORE
