Title: Roland FR-5 + FCB1010
Post by: Pasque on July 11, 2010, 03:43:28 PM
Hello,
I would like to know if someone use this config : V-accordion + FCB1010 (midi foot controller).
Do we have to configure FCB1010 with special configuration to use with vArranger or not ?
I've just tried this afternoon to connect FCB1010 with vArranger and I have had lot of problems in chords recognition
Even only bass button pushed has changed chords (not chords buttons).
It seems, it is only when I active one function with FCB1010, for exemple start stop with FCB1010 and then after all chords become false.
If I look with midiox, everything seems to be OK.

Does some one have one idea on this matter ?
Does FCB1010 sends wrong commands to vArranger ?
Thanks for support.
Regards
Pasque

Hi Pasque,

On the MIDI PORTS page, when you select the MIDI INPUT 2 for the FCB1010, be careful to UNCHECK the PLAY NOTE box

With vArranger you can play with 2 midi instruments together.

If the 2nd midi in is an musical instrument, then check the box PLAY NOTE,

If it just a controller, uncheck it.

Let us know if now it is OK.

Viva espagna :)

Hi Dan,

I don't use an input 2 but it is connected on input 1 as described :
Accordion output to FCB1010 input, FCB1010 output to midi interface input.
FCB1010 is setup to merge input .
FCB1010 is setup to send code on midi channel 13.
Switches actions are well treated by vArranger
Is it correct ?
Thanks for support

I have more infos.

It seems that this pedal is buggy with midi merge, as you can see on this webpage

http://www.ossandust.be/index.php

So, just buy a new USB/Midi adapter , or you can try this website firmware.
