Title: There's a bug??
Post by: DjTony1981 on October 23, 2024, 08:10:03 PM
Hi Dan, I don't know if it's a mistake, but for this style in the MAIN B riff, the PHASE1 track on first measure, going from a Maj to other 7th chord the CASM track "Maj7" notes continue to play instead of stopping. :o  :o

This style has different phrases depending on the chord played.
I tried to enter few chords in the song chords screen but I can't listen a problem.
Can you show us more?

You should listen to the PHS1 (accordion) track in MAIN 2 when in the first measure you go from a major to a minor (or seventh) chord, the notes played in major remain in the background.

Quote from: freakman on October 28, 2024, 03:47:57 PMYou must set the key maps for all chords, otherwise they will not be taken into account.

I edited the style and it works now.

Test it.

Sorry freakman, but I think your edit just made the sound worse..

Dan please, I attach a sample MIDI, look at the accordion track especially the G3 note as it doesn't stop at the chord change..thanks. (take my style as an example)

Chords played : D7|G|E7|Am| | |D7|G| | |E7|Am| |A7|D7|G

You have duplicate markers in this MIDI!
Do you have a MIDI file that hasn't been edited?
Then you could try to recreate it.
In your style there are 3 drum tracks Notes, more bass and several guitars.
We would first have to understand how you created it.

Freak Man, do you know about programming styles in general? Yamaha style programming? Do you know Yamaha CASM metadata? Dan will have understood what I mean. For those interested, there is an excellent PDF course Style Creation Course (http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/articles/style_creation_course.pdf) made by guru Jørgen Sørensen.

Hi DjTony1981,

You have to activate the key map for all chords that you play and that should change, otherwise the chord will not be changed or will not play.
This is also the case with the drums, if you do not activate the minor and 7ths... they will not be changed either.
In your style, not all of the key maps are activated, so certain chords that you play are not addressed.

This is youre Style.

freakman, the CASM is correct like this, it must not be modified. Dan just needs to lock the notes to the PHR1 chord change. I can't be clearer than that.
