I have an old Fatar MP1 pedal board to sent bass note messages to my laptop. I wil use channel 3 and plugged the midi cable to Axiom midi in with no results. Do I have to use a separate interface for this ?

I think I have the answer from another forum. Most controllers do not send or merge messages from the in port. I have to use a midimerge unit.

Do you have many AXIOM MIDI IN listed on the vArranger midi ports?
Try to put your Pedal to send on midi channel 1
Then select it as vArranger MIDI IN 2 and check the case PLAY NOTES
