I have a Korg Kronos 2, and I wonder if vArranger can use my keyboard as a sound source? I was reading several posts here saying it doesn't work well with the Kronos GM sounds. I would like to know how the current version of aVarranger is resolving this issue.

Also, if I use the Karma when I run vArranger, do I need to split my keys? Or is there a way to make the signal from the keys to go through the Karma and vArranger at the same time?

And how would I do FXs? Can I connect a Novation MIDI keyboard to adjust things like reverb or echoes with vArranger in real time? As I understand, vArranger has separated channels for sounds (ex. drum, guitar, bass, voice) in each style. So I can change the FXs of each sound in real time?

And How is voice processing in VArranger? Does it support voice harmonization and effects like the PA4x?

I hope you will help me understand. Thank you very much.

Dan

I never tried the Kronos with vArranger.
Did you try to connect a midifile player software or other midi software to the Kronos? Is it working?
You will get very similar behavior with vArranger. vArranger can send BANKS/PROGRAM CHANGES messages on the 16 midi channels. 8 for the accomp tracks, and 8 for the Right / Left tracks
I let you check if Karma is working together in other tracks
We send Midi CC FX for each of the 16 tracks for reverb chorus and variation FX
We have Harmony voice feature, but not advanced like PA4X

If some users with vArranger and Kronos can share their experience, you are welcome

Thank you Dan for the quick response. I will surely check its behaviors with midi player software. But I am traveling without my Kronos. I will come home in around 1 month, then I will do that and let you know. Cheers 🍻  :)
