Information about ketron

I always wonder what ketron really are??
What I mean how many people work for ketron Italy.
What size is their premises/factory/warehouse/office?
Do they actually make their equipment in Italy or china etc.
Has anyone been to see ketron Italy or ever met the staff.
Can Italian users get better service?
Where do the Italian users go for repairs. ?
If anyone knows anything it will be interesting.
Maybe some pictures of their buisness etc.

It seems to me it is a little enterprise.
Maybe the production is not realised in this site !

Hi Guys,

I have been following this topic and seeing the frustration and interest in particular that Ketron will not acknowledge or reply
to anybody over the SD2 issue or any issue for the matter.

It shows their ignorance of the fact that we have paid money for their products and they have got what they want and that is the end of the matter.

Look at the comparison to vArranger and Ketron.

We ask a question about vArranger or a fix or addition, the Developer/Owner responds and does what the purchaser wants/needs.
Bloody good customer service

Ketron, well we seem to find out that they are all deaf and blind
No response, regardless of what maybe the case.

Let's hope that somebody at Ketron has learnt Braille. (At least they might feel our complaint)

This is quite interesting. There is only one white van with a door open and no other vehicles in sight.
maybe they are at the back and maybe that is the full staff compliment in the van. lol

I think they make everything in China so is this just a storage warehouse ?

Like the world can stop while we are on leave and we don't care

Surely somebody must be around/on call. What if the President called? Who gonna answer the phone?

Are you in USA?
It has been a tradition in France, Spain and Italy (not UK) to close for the hot  sunny month of August. They aint silly. lol
I know this for a fact  as I have family in France.
Also The accordion manufacturers shop Fratelli Crosio, in Paris  (since 1911 but now sadly closed down 3 years ago)
They closed as I went there to buy my Crosio accordion in 1983 and had to plan my visit before 1st August as the close.
And they knew I was coming from UK a rare situation way back then before computers and internet I had to write to them for details.
Also found the same problem on re-visits to crosio over the past 15 years.
Probably nowadays affects mostly the smaller buisnesses like Ketron.
So here is some insight from experience.
Ketron will definately be closed as they cant be bothered much anyway. lol

Hi Jon,

I am in good old Land Down Under (Australia mate)

Over here (or down here ) the shops only shutdown mainly New Year, Christmas.
If they shutdown in factories they usually have after hours,etc.

I am not sure what you call HOT over there but in summer here we go from 32 to 40 deg Celsuis
and Humidity it can be like arhh yuk bloody sticky and hot.

But it's not that bad most times ok.

Do you use SD2 or SD4 or both?

Lionel,
Now you have an idea about the summer holidays in southern europe. Hot in UK means anything over 10 celsius.
Today its 14 celsius and raining all day.
On nice days in summer we get 16-22 celsius and exceptional hot weather in Uk is 22-30 celsius.
In France and Spain etc. summer is 20-38 celsius.
Anyway I used to have a large SD3 which I sold after discovering vArranger and now only need accordion and small pocket sized SD2 sound module and because the cost is low I also have a spare second SD2.
