Hello as a future Varranger user :)
So far I have a lot to do because I am in the process of building an instrument with the Varranger system - keyboard, touchscreen and controller in the housing ... But I would like to ask if commercial styles will work properly for Yamaha instruments. I mean sites like camaro24.pl, d-o-o.de, especially since there are sounds from dedicated extensions ...?

I think it should work. Unless they really use non standard samples
You can send us one style, and I record a MP3 for you

Regards,

Dan

Hello Dan. I sent you a message .. I am waiting impatiently for your reply :)

Dan

I am sorry, I did not received your message

I sent a private message, now it should arrive. i sent 2 styles yamaha and korg pa2x. If you can, record a demo and write back. greetings

Unfortunately, I didn't get a reply ... But it was you who offered to record the MP3, Dan. I bought the arrangement on purpose to listen to the demo ...

Dan

Oh I am sorry for the late answer
Here is the recording.
You sent me 3 styles
I recorded only 2, as the t5dp_Chopin.sty seems to be like the t5_Chopin, but using some other drumkits and instruments that sounds less good with my sound set
Note that I have recorded this demo directly without any tunings, using the vArranger software synthesizer with our optional soundbanks (yamaha and korg)

Thanks a lot Dan :) I expected such a recording, I can fine-tune the details myself to make it sound better. Interesting fact - after converting these styles to Audya ketron it was impossible to listen to them ... As soon as I complete the hardware, I will contact you to buy the software. I'm going to do this at a low cost :)
M-audio Keystation 61 -  50$
HP touchscreen -  25$ :)
Now the case and drivers ..
Will behringer bcf2000 work as an interface and controller for Varranger control ??

Dan

The BCF2000 is quite old, but has USB / MIDI interface included, and motor fader to control vArranger
From what I read on internet, some were able to use it with Windows 10, and the generic USB/MIDI driver
It is also good to add 500ms of delay for the motorized fader

It should work, and some are using it, but I don't have it myself

polvader

Thanks for the answer, I am going to construct something similar to the video in the given link, but the case is not wooden, but metal ..

Hi polvader,
just out of curiosity, what do you mean with HP touchscreen at only 25$?

Thanks.

I like to find bargains and I found a used HP Compaq L5009tm at this price - in store condition :)

polvader

As mentioned, I'm going to build my own keyboard based on the Varranger system. I once had a Roland VA7 and when the  broke, service it refused to repair - "too old equipment". Therefore, the instrument that I will build, in case of failure, I will repair it myself at a low cost. It will be like a puzzle. - keyboard, screen, interface, processor, memory etc ..
