Fill In / Breaks sections question.

Hi Dan.
Can you please answer this one for me.

In the "Song Chord" section. Lets assume song is 4/4, Measure is divided by four sections.
Most of brakes are taking full measure (4 parts). In many tracks I make, I want to use just 2 sections or even 1 section
for break and then continue to another Variation part. Many songs have just a single drum hit for break...

As of now, it is possible to do this only is playing arrangement live and pressing the "FILL IN / BREAK" button in the
middle of the measure. This way, it will start the "FILL IN" section in the middle and would return to variation of
the next measure. Is there a way to reserve custom sections for "Fill Ins" sections in "Song Chords"?

For example, what I want to do:
I play arrangement through "Song Chords" and have a reserved "silence" space.
When recording,  I select drums as instruments and just play "break" using midi controller, if given "Fills" of the style do not
work well in composition. Is something like this possible?
I hope I am being clear on this...

I am not sure if anybody asked that before, but I would very much would like to know.

Thank you.

Mi aggiungo alla richiesta di bluebeat, chiedendo, se possibile, implementare questa funzionalità dei fills:

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/764406/Gem-Wk2.html?page=42#manual

In practice, you should be able to choose whether to use the classic Fill1, Fill2, Fill3, Break or 3 Fills keys with arrows →, ← and ↓. Regardless of the number of variations in style, if I press "FILL→", vArranger will play the next FILL phrase and then at end of it playing next variation and so on. A last variation (es. VAR4), if i press "FILL→", vArranger will play the first FILL phrase and next play first variation riff (as VAR1), vice versa, if i press "FILL←" at first variation, vArranger will play last FILL and then play last variation. I do not know if I explained. Thank you.

DjTony,
The question is a bit different. In "Song Chords" it is not possible (To write it into grid) to start Fill in in the Middle  of the measure or have a silence bar for custom bar.
This is what I am asking.

Sorry, I wanted to add me to the post without creating a new one.  :D

I hoped somebody would answer this for me.  I guess it is not possible to do what I want to do, Have sort of  "BLANK" spots to  insert in "SONG CHORDS" to add custom brakes or fills by desired length...

I believe to truly make vArranger a powerhorse program, a style editor is needed.
I wrote couple of times before, but to my surprise nobody ever replied to these threads.   I am assuming people did not reply, because they never experienced easy way to mix styles parts.  You can create very unique sounding styles using thousands of available ones... Mix different genres, etc.

Yamaha had hardware sequencers, such as QY series and also Yamaha has a iPad sequencer app that can mix styles on the fly, but it is limited to internal styles of app. Still, you can create a totally different sounding style in the matter of a few minutes from any parts of any styles.

I am sure Dan has some ideas on it already... If some of us decided to support this project, to pay for developing time, then maybe?, Dan can make one as a separate purchase plugin.  vArranger is one of the best programs for styles, but I believe the weakest point is style editor.

Any thoughts?

I agree it would be great to have style editor/creator + sound creator in varranger.
However I am not sure it is a priority for Dan and most of the users ... and it must be a huge amount of work !

Olivier, thank you for reply. I started having a feeling that I am talking to myself.

Still, it is very strange to me that there is no conversation about it, especially in this forum. I thought that people who have vArranger are interested in "arranging" or "arrangement" and I am specifically talking about just that.  As I mentioned before, probably most people on this forum never experienced an easy way of changing structure of the styles, that is why, I believe just a couple of people replied.

Well, the only way I see of inspiring conversation about this is making a video of how it is done on Yamaha app.  I am busy next week, but will try to make a video shortly after.
