Hi. i have never used, nor have tried (demoed), vArranger. Is there a demo software that i can download, to see if i may want to purchase this software? i currently own a  korg pa800, an M-Audio Keystation 88es, a tyros4, and a technics kn 2k pcm.  Will you make a vArranger 2 or 3 for android, because these are the only touchscreen devices that i own?

imaxuout

If i buy the software, and i am not happy with it, can i return it and get a full refund?
do i need any special hardware to utilize this software ?
i have this m-audio sound card: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/922663-REG/m_audio_mtrack_m_track_with_ignite_digital.html
can i use this with my m-audio keystation 88es ?
i have a lenovo T430s, i5, 8gb of ram, 7200rpm hdd, will it run smoothly, and what is the lowest latency setting from when i hit on a key (m-audio keystation 88es) until the audio comes out the speaker?

Dan

Yes this should work fine with your 88es and your mtrack and your PC

Latency is 6ms and not noticeable

No other hardware is needed

If i buy the software, and i am not happy with it, can i return it and get a full refund?

imaxuout

what do you mean? i buy it, i try it, i like it, i keep it.
i buy it, i try it, i do not like it, i return it for full refund?
in the case that i do not like it after i have purchased it, how do i go about returning it?

Dan

Refund for software is a bit complex

Yes, the refund is possible in some case, for ' sincere ' musicians, but not in all case, to limit the abuses.
"I don't like it, please refund" is not a sufficient reason to get a refund

If something is not working good, We will try first to see how we can correct or improve the situation with teamviewer

Refund will be the last solution, if the user and me agree that finally it is better to stop the tries at this level.

That's why, I prefer first to know a bit more about your expectations in vArranger, and tell you if vArranger can do what you need

Hope you understand,

Dan

#7
i play by myself at live events.(parties, Jewish bar mitzvah's, weddings)  i need something fast that wont freeze on me or crash. on my tyros4 and pa800 i do not have any problems with switching instruments and styles/beats/rhythms in real time and beats as well as transposing in real time and full keyboard chord accompaniment. i can also import my own custom beats, and set it to auto play repeat what i am playing live.

sorry for the bad punctuation.

imaxuout

is it all under one skin, is there different skins depending on what keyboard/arranger i choose?
can i run this on multiple systems simultaneously?

Lylo

One skin because it use only the color Windows,  not images.
You can use vArranger as a hardware arranger,  the difference is the work for optimise and customise vArranger, for example I use a lot of mp3 and my arranger section is poor in rythmes,  I don't need many styles, some customers never use mp3.

Dan

vArranger does not freeze and does not crash. This can happen when trying new configurations at home, new VST instruments, etc...  But once your setup is well tested and stable, you can go live with it.

vArranger allows to switch instruments and styles, and transpose in realtime

Full chord accomp can be done too

For now, you can can't create new styles in vArranger, but vArranger can load Ketron / Yamaha / Roland / Korg styles

What is auto play repeat?

You have all into one skin, but ALL your configuration is inside one folder in your hard drive.

You can create many folders for many configurations, and switch the folder before starting vArranger

You can only run ONE vArranger at a time

The question is why do you want vArranger if you already have the PA800 and Tyros 4?

The second question will be for the sound source for vArranger.   There is many options to get sound from vArranger.  Use an external midi synth, or vArranger virtual synth with SF2 samples or VST instruments...

Then, we will talk about the styles you want to use, and see if they will be compatible with the sound set that you want to use

imaxuout

it is too much of a hassle to take my keyboards when i go to events they are way to heavy and my laptop only cost me 300 usd, my keyboards cost 3.5k+ someone already spilled his drink on my pa800 once (of course he purchased a new keyboard for me after i sued him in court for 7 months ) i want to be able to use this software exactly how i would use my keyboard in a live event. auto play is when you play part of a song and the keyboard adapts and learns what you are playing and plays it automatically

Dan

Do you mean that you play a melody, and the arranger automatically play a chord for you?  I remember this feature on my old Korg ix300 keyboard, but it was not really good at finding the right chords

You can send me one style that you often use, and I will record for you a MP3 of how vArranger will play it

imaxuout

does vArranger have auto fill (as part of auto accompaniment)option?
if i purchased multiple touchscreen monitors or just on ultra wide touchscreen monitor, could vArranger spread out into different parts/sections like on a regular keyboard?
is vArranger similar to what the Yamaha QY700 was 20 years ago but just in software form and more options?
can i use a sustain pedal if yes can i assign different functions to the sustain pedal in vArranger (e.g. echo, delay, chorus-delay,chorus,fast repeat [trumpet or guitar, ra ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta very fast], tremolo, wah, auto-wah, crybaby, distortion, overdrive, flanger).
can i plug in an electric guitar to vArranger and use sustain pedal from my 88es keyboard with some of above effects?
does vArranger have "vibrato" organs (not tremolo it is two different effects) ?
how is EQ in vArranger?

Lylo

Dan

Auto  Fill : YES

vArranger main screen is resizing automatically. Not sure about your idea

Historically, vArranger was first a midi arranger software, receiving your playing by midi and sending back a realtime generated accompaniment by midi, and was working very good with the Ketron SD2 midi sound module
Then we have added the virtual synth and VST possibilities, so you don't need to use an external midi sound module but vArranger also generate the audio in realtime.

Out of the box, the sound of the virtual synth is a starting point but not at the level of Yamaha or Korg

We have the possibility to completely decide about the soundset to use, by using SF2 samples, that are loaded at startup

There is also the possibility of playing with VST instruments that can be very good quality, especially for right hand sounds

You can assign a sustain pedal to any function of vArranger like START/STOP but then you will loose the sustain pedal for the sustain of your piano

You can't use a pedal to toggle between many effects

I am actually working on adding AUDIO input + FX to be able to play with an electric guitar

vArranger virtual synth only come with reverb and chorus, but you can use your own VST plugin to get more FX.  For now you have 3 AUX + 1 master FX

I will probably add later an insert FX on some tracks

vArranger does not have special organs, but you can use a plug in like VB3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb7ZsjHcf-c
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DemCano9k-g

You can use a VST EQ on the MASTER final stage
or use the filter cuttof / resonnance to simulate some eq on each track

Maybe will add eq/vst plugin on every track later
