Hi,
I`m interested in vArranger, but first
I tested the vArranger once more at a friend of mine. So, there are additional Questions in functions, that I need for my Music. May be I didn`t find the solution.

1. The complete live change of tuning Druminstruments of internal Styles at Drummixer-Site doesn`t work with SD1000, but with SD2.
2. I can´t change the Octave Parameter for Arranger tracks, Fine Tuning is possible, that usally make no sense.

I read some Details of upgrade SD1000 to 1.1.
What is the right way to use SD1000 now ? Upgrade or stying at 1.0 ?
I tested it with Firmware 1.1.
I`ve send a Mail to Ketron, for downgrading the firmware. Is downgrading possible, worst case ?

And, ALL Drumsets of SD2 seem to be different than in SD1000. Some Sets with same Name like "Acoustik Set" is very powerful in SD2, but not in SD1000. The Bassdrum has been changed, and Snaredrum seem to be another sample.
I´m also missing the "Fusion Set" of SD2.
What about this changes ? Is everyone satisfied with it now ?

1. Yes,SD1000 drums mixer is not working like SD2.  It does not allow to use it by groups (Bass Drum, Snare Drum...)
But it works if you change the mixer of a particular drum note.
Maybe you can ask to ketron, to add this possibility for the next firmware version of SD1000

2. Yes, there is no arranger track octave in vArranger. Styles own many parameters that determine the octave (casm, low limit, rtr, ntt....)
Maybe your sounds does not have the same octave as GM normal sounds?

I personally prefer 1.1, because of the transition between notes, that is very important for arranger smoothness.

But some users has found problems with 1.1.

I only have identified 2 mono + portamento problems

Polyphony and detune problems still need to be proven.

Yes, they have made some sounds changes from SD2 to SD1000. Some are very good, some are bad....

What can we do :(

Hi Dan,
thank you for immediate reply.

1. What do you mean with this.
"But it works if you change the mixer of a particular drum note."
Is there an option to remark the drum notes ?

2. For some Styles it would be easier to have that Octave Mode in Tracks. Would it be difficult to make this true ?

So in Case of Quality we have a compromise between old but "fat Drums" and newer and more Drumsets and Sounds.
What a shame, a newer Module should have the Minimum-Quality in Drumsets like the older one. So what,.....a solution will be difficult and up to the use of the individual musician.
I`m going to inform Ketron again due to Drumgroup Parameters and I hope Ketron is willing to improve that in the Future.
We don`t know something about new Ketron-Hardware for 2015, so.......?

Tell me who is your friend, so I can see if he has the new version of vArranger, that display a new DRUM MIXER window with every notes

I for now prefer to not add a octave +/- for the arranger tracks, because sometimes bad octaves are due to a vArranger bug, and I prefer, you send me the style that send bad, so I can check if vArranger is OK, or if it is the style.

If some SD2 sounds are missing in the SD1000, we will sample it into SF2 sounds that vArranger synth can play. Maybe later....

Me too I want transposition on tracks, send a bad style for resolve a problem is very too slow when a single clic can push a sound one octave higher or lower.

I have just tried the drum mixer with SD1000. vArranger was one note shifted. I have corrected this.
Level is working for every note, but reverb does not seems to work on every note.
Some more things to investigate about this module...

Hi Dan,
thanks for reply...
The version of my friend is the newest 1.17
The Example Style I mean is a Bigband Style of your internal Lib. The Acc2 was a deep Sax of SD.
So in some cases it would be fine to transpose the ACC Track myself, in case I'd work with that Software. "Finetuning" in ACC Tracks is a very  nice Game for "real"  Brass Sounds but a Transpose Function would be perfect for a complete Product. Please think about that.
